Lesson I Learned From Asking My Little Brother For Help

Today I accomplished one of my biggest fears and obstacles in life: swimming to the buoy at Coronado Beach.

Years ago when I was on the water polo squad in High School, our weekly exercise routine consisted of swimming to the buoy and back at Coronado Beach. But once I graduated from water polo, I found that task to be impossible.

Three years after I graduated from water polo, I suffered a panic attack when I swam to the buoy with my little brother. I was devastated and disappointed that day and I never took the initiative to try it again. However today, after three years from suffering that panic attack, I took back my courage by swimming to the buoy with my little brother Asante.

I did it! And most importantly, we did it!
